Tonbodama Glass Bead Jewelry
It is believed the beginning of glass bead history in Japan dates back to the 2nd and 3rd century AD. During the 1600-1800s the glass beads were known as "Saka Tonbo" and "Senshuu Dama" and from these Tonbodama was named.
